This past weekend was Thanksgiving. Its one of my favorite holidays- family is all together, there's delicious food, and you dont have the stress of having to give presents out. Since Ive been in MA, I haven't been home for Thanksgiving, nor have I really celebrated it. Freshman year I went home with my friend who was Chinese, and they didnt celebrate the day. I ended up eating rice, birthday cake, and macaroni. Last year... many things happened (not good things, either) that just kind of made the day really bad,
and I didn't get any turkey. So this year, I wasnt really planning on anything. But my friend ALA invited me home with her, so I took her up on it. I hadn't seen her in a while and thought it would be really nice. The food was amazing. Her mom is an amazing cook and there was just so much of it. I ate alot, had a great nap, and then we went Black Friday shopping. I came home on Friday to an empty house content and with tons of leftovers.
So what am I thankful for?
My friends- not gonna lie, this year has sucked socially. People have just been different. But Im thankful for the few that have stuck around.
My family- especially my sister. She's getting older now and we're starting to really get along.
The fact that it hasn't snowed.
Certainly, there are more, but thats my top three.
